VIABLE - Valorisation of lignin biomass into competitive components grAdually replacing BPA in the formulation of Epoxy resins (LIFE20 ENV / BE / 000671) is a project, co-financed by the European Union and coordinated by the VITO Research Center, which involves, in addition to HP Composites, six European partners (APESA, FIAT Research Center, CIMV, POLYMERIS, SOLVAY, VITO). The general objective of the project is to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of using lignin as a raw material for the production of epoxy resins for aesthetic and structural applications in the sector of advanced composite materials for the automotive sector.
The project has a duration of 4 years (01/09 / 2021-31 / 08/2025).
The total investment amounts to € 3,491,078.00 and the public funding to € 1,854,090.00.
